OK I read your review (test) on the edge and am happy that you are having fun but I have to ask you a question about all of us that are Fisher users and owners. I have the 3ZD and the 70 pro, why would I want the edge? I think the more I read about masking the more I am interested in knowing what machine out there works the best in that condition?

Well, you have 2 great Fisher units there already. But, the simple answer would be that the newer "big 3" C$/Excel/Edge are just faster. It's that real time or instant display of numbers with no digital delay that I harped on so much in the test. Read Mark in NC's post below...he explained this well. You may be fine with the units you have....unless you have sites that have heavy iron you can possibly unmask small items or maybe you just want something lightweight with LCD numbers?

Thanks for getting back ot me you are very honest I use the white's 6000 xl and that seems to do well in bad iron but would love to try the new fisher and see. I think NASA Tom is redesigning the 3DZ just don't know how long it will take. I tried the COINSTRIKE and didn't like it and I gave myself a month of trying to like it. I know you really like that machine.

Thanks for loving the hobby and being able to try and test new detestors for us
