I'm still waiting for BILL'S ASSESSMENT of the F-70 and F-5. Will they FLY, or are they something you try not to step in?
What does that BLOOD HOUND nose of yours say, BILL?

But I'm not sure I will get a chance to test those particular units.....both do look quite interesting in their own way though, & with warmer weather on the way I look forward to hopefully testing some new things even if it's just my own accessory coils & such....
HH,
Bill

Thats as to the FINAL PRODUCT FOR THE END USER-US! Meanwhile, no FEEDBACK on the prototypes as to problems, or changes which might be needed.
SO, I take it, the FIRST BATCH off the line could be considered PROTOTYPES? AND YOU BUYERS WILL BE CONSIDERED THE FIELD TESTERS. "MANY HAPPY RETURNS!!!":throw:
(I guess paying someone to test a unit is too expensive and CANNOT be written off as an EXPENSE ON TAXES? If you don't mind Bill Ladd, what's the going rate?):fisher:

When does a manufacture publish prototype test results, and certainly before it's even made ?

Have you ever seen Whites or Garrett publish feedback on what if any problems they had with there pre-release units ? It just isn't going to happen !

By the way, I don't know of anyone field testing a Fisher prototype and getting paid it.

or even a (its hoped) stripped down version like the F-70. But the detector that should field the most interest is the F-5 simply because its in a price range with a much broader market share.

EXACTLY!!! People will field test the units for the pure pleasure of it. And as March or May is near here, you would assume some field units would be out. After all, its in the fields were they will be tweaked under a large variety of contrasting conditions and environments-no lab/test garden can duplicate that, right? :please::please::please::please::please::beers:
(You mean field testers are not getting RICH?:stars:)

I agree Vlad and the F5 is the one I'm waiting to see a manual on.

Plus I like the combination of Knobs and tactile push pads.

Lets give the new Fisher and its testers a break...No perfect detector out there and for that matter no perfect detectorist. Are these new units for everyone (of course not) but imagine many will do well with them when they hit the market so lets not jump the gun...and wait for some feedback to start trickling in as many excellent detectorists on this site to provide pro or con input....

and posted some information on the Tech forum over at the Depot. Unfortuantly the entire Tech forum was removed recently for not meeting it's stated purpose for being.

Not sure who has the F5. Andy(NM) has been very quiet so he may be out with one.

that patience, especially linked with objectivity, is a dying virtue. There's still some to be experienced and witnessed but every year seems to bring a little less than the year before.
