Bill how can we talk these guys into making the edge into a water machine???

What advantage would it be to have this unit as a water machine ?

I have the Edge, and it's a nice unit, but what advantage would it have to make it a water detector ?? Water hunting is mostly beep & dig.

Just curious.

Mr. Bill

that as a water machine, you of course wouldn't have the numeric display but it would make for a great fast 4 tone detector with a good user selectable all metal mode and user settable GB in a non-salt bias mode with better iron (and salt) reject resolution. I'd assume the current touch pads wouldn't work so the controls would probably have to be pots and toggles such as that on the Tigershark. Great way to replace the old workhorse 1280 and hopefully in an updated lower weight body. For fresh water in particular, I'd think it'd be an improvement. Of course with the beep/dig approach, the non current CZ 20 and the 1280 are very functional but heavy and evidently the need for 8 AA's (and subsequent weight liability) to power a VLF has come and gone. Call me crazy, Bill, but you know I'd buy one!

i think it would work well as a water machine you can tell what your digging and not dig alot of junk targets and it finds small items

i think you could make the numbers work too look at what joe of south jersy had done to an explorer2 thats a touch pad machine

I buy them all.

As a salt water hunter, I doubt that it would so super.

Fresh water hunting, I can see a place.

Charles in NY manufactured the setup that Joe used on his Exploder. It is a nifty setup.
