Went detecting today in the same area where I've made other good finds in the past few weeks, (2 Mercury dimes, V-Nickle) The third signal I dug was a 1934 walking liberty half at about 3 inches, you could have pushed me over with a feather when I first saw it (I've never owned one of these). It had some staining but looks much better now cleaned. The only other notables dug were the skeleton key, and clad coinage.
back around 1982 when i first got a good detector i went to the local football field to try it out with my brother in law. in an area beside the field i found 2 walking liberty half dollars, a standing liberty quarter, and a mercury dime all in an area about 10 feet square. never had a day like that since, but it sure was fun finding those coins. those big silvers are getting harder to find, but still show up. nice find and good luck..........roger
Man they don't make them like that no more. The old coins are so beautiful.See world what a Tesoro will do!.But you need one more thing,a operator!.A great detector is nothing without a great operator! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome find.....congrads. I've only found one silver half in my life! It was a walking liberty, back in the early '70's in deep sand at Bass Lake! I've never found a dollar coin, or a gold coin. Keep on keeping on!
