Biggest gold chain ever! Whew-we!!

Now that I have your attention, I should have said “rusty gold”. Lol

Thinking off some type of older farm equipment.....

Serious question tho for a moment. I was working the top corner of my 5 acres...... hit a consistent dime signal at 7-8” deep so hoping silver. Dug the plug, checked the hole, 0. Start to check plug and the carrot is reacting but I see no dime or penny or any coin. After a couple minutes I finally zeroed in on a tiny piece of metal. Ends up about a 1/4” of the casehead end of a 22 rimfire! Head stamp is a U so Remington and net research shows made 1880’s to present. What really got my attention was a round firing pin indent. I’ve never seen a round strike (always a rectangular) so tried to research that for what type of firearm. Not finding an answer so thought I would ask here for general knowledge. As a note I have found different shotgun heads here that can be noted to 1890s to 1930s so maybe this firearm is same era?

Its some type of a drive chain. I suspect a stout gear wheel was used but on what I dont know. Weather has been crazy weird. 40 today but snow again Tuesday. Snuck out today for a bit and now have my smallest pendant/charm! Not silver and says made in China. I cant even read which Saint is on it. Rang up in the nickel range and was 3-4” deep.
