Has anyone used the 10' or 10.25' bounty hunter large coil on the 505? Do these bigger coils really deliver more depth? Are they a cost effective way to jazz up the performance of my old machine, rather than spending big bucks on a higher end model? HH ed in co.
The 4 inch coil doesn't cost much (as I recall, about $40?), and can deliver a big improvement in trashy areas by reducing iron masking of good targets. If you're looking for a way to upgrade the machine you've got at minimal cost, that would be the ticket.
On the other hand, if what you really want is an overall higher performance machine, well, we manufacture several models of those in the Fisher and Teknetics lines, starting with the Fisher F4 at about $400-450. And in the BH line, the Platinum would be a definite step up and I think you can get 'em for about $300-350. You could check with forum sponsor dealers on pricing.
Thanks for the reply, I would really like to move up to a 0mega 8000, but dont have the money right now. I have looked for info on the platinum but dont seem to find much. Kellyco doesnt even mention them in thier product line and neither does bounty hunters own web site. Do you know where i could read up on them? HH ed in co.
