Bigfoot

Will the Bigfoot be optimized for the V? I note a quote from one of Steve H's posts on another forum from 2005:

The Bigfoot is the kind of coil I'll buy a detector for.

If the V is going to be a jewelry magnet - then a bigfoot should clean up in the tot lots.

Good question Rick. I think the Bigfoot is on long term hold.

Not sure...but in tot lots, depth is not an issue ;-) I will try my BigFOOT soon :)

Jimmy said it would be when production resumes. However, someone on another forum talked with them about pre-ordering a Bigfoot, as long as he had it sometime before CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR, and the guy said he couldn't promise that...nor that they'd finally iron out the issues even.

My concern might be will it really still be the Bigfoot if they ever DO get it going? They had to backward engineer it, and for some reason, they're having setback after setback trying to make one. All I can say, is regardless, I'm glad I have one of mine built by the Master of the Loop before he died.

I have never seen a coil be missed so much! Don't know what all the issues are (in getting it into production) but it sure will have a lot of pent up demand when it does hit the market. Hopefully it'll be even better than the previous construction as there have been advances in shielding and the clip assemblies since the original design.

"Hi Jason, I just talked with my engineer this morning, Yes we are going to have bigfoot coils again. Soon, I hope. things have been real slow getting started. First my eng. died, then my new guy got cancer and has been in hospital. He is back to work and will be slow getting up to speed, but at least we will be getting coils again. As for compatibility the vision coils will be backwards compatible with the DFX/MXT. The vision loop does require tighter specs on the loop production. We will be phasing into them as soon as possible as they will work on the DFX etc. Thank you for being patient. Watch my website for info on progress, when we have info. Best regards, Jimmy"

Looks like we will have a Vision BIGFOOT
