Bigfoot Coil users

Circle C Digger

I plan on doing some beach detecting this summer. Is it true that the Bigfoot coil covers up to 10 times the ground in one sweep than a standard coil? Any Bigfoot coil user comments would be appreciated.

If depth is more important, use a standard coil. I assume for a beach, area will be though, and in this, there's nothing like a 18" wiper blade. Most depth won't be over 6" with this coil, but should be plenty for that kind of hunting.

I use it when I'm in a VERY clean area trying to find a certain target or narrow down where things occurred. I use it EXCLUSIVELY in competition hunts though. :)

The big foot is great for to cover a lot of ground and it will pick up a lot of shallow targets maybe 3inches maybe a bit more. I use it to help tell me what is in the ground good targets and if I find a large field that has some good targets I recover all I can and then hit it with the hot shot now there is a coil boy it is great for a large coil and goes very deep.

I use a little discrim as I can a little less then the nail setting and I find a lot of good targets like gold that way. In sand boxes and wood chips do the same thing the Xl is so sensative to thin small targets like bobby pins, papper clips and then the gold thin rings and so much more. If I could have 2 coils it would be the hot shot and there smallest coil I have about five coils for the Xl
