i have a mxt and a dfx,the bigfoot coil works pretty good on my dfx,but i dont think it likes my mxt, maybe im just used to the way it acts on the dfx,any ideals on where i should set my settings would be greatly appreciated.anyone know how deep the bigfoot will go on the mxt?im getting about 5-6 inches, thanks

I have used the Bigfoot coil on my MXT for about 10 months now and I really like it the best of all of my coils. 5 to 6 inches is what I have been getting on maximum depth. Most of my finds, mostly gold and silver jewelry, I find at 1 to 4 inches. The MXT will have a higher pitch on the rear half of the coil when it hits a target. When you hear that sound, just pull back and go over the target area with the front half. Takes a little getting used to but it works good. I like using the relic mode with the trigger in the center. Discrimination just below nickles and gain at +1. The Bigfoot is great for covering a lot of ground like sports fields but you do lose a couple of inches in depth over the larger diameter coils.

thanks for the reply,i used my bigfoot today and dug coins all day(over a hundred coins)all out of one yard.one wheatie and one war nickle was the best finds.i got one of the biggest blisters you ever did see from my shovel.but it was still a great day....:detecting:
