Bigfoot coil for XL-PRO?

I was wondering if all 6.59 kHz Bigfoots work the same on a XL-PRO detector? I think there was 3 different version's I was wondering if all work the same with the signal end to end ? I heard some only have a signal half way 9'' instead of the full 18''? Thanks.

All the 6.59 kHz BigFoots all work the same on your XL Pro. On the Eagle and Spectrum you had to make a menu adjustment. You had to turn on "Absolute Value" to have it detect across the full 18" when in Pinpoint or all metal. On your XL Pro, it will detect across 18" when in Disc but only the front 9" will work when in pinpoint (trigger pulled). This makes it so you can pinpoint at the center of the coil although most of us that have used a BigFoot for any length of time usually pinpoint off the front of the coil. I've been using the BigFoot on White's machines since 1990. If you want to PM me your email address I'll send you a copy of the instruction sheet that would have been included with the BigFoot. Just let me know in the email if you need the older 6.59 kHz instructions or the newer DFX, MXT, M6 instruction sheet.

I hate to disagree but Sierra products made three 6.59 Whites one for older models..one for newer models and one that had interchange connections where you could use on either...Be very careful purchasing a used one for this reason and specify what unit you have...Don't know the numbers but imagine Sierra products could advise you.
I speak from experience as over the years have owned and used all three...Don't believe they are made anymore and a used one would be expensive...
Was the first one to use at our local planted hunt and was laughed at but really cleaned up and had the last laugh as I learned to pinpoint well. Understand they are now banned at most planted hunts...Hows that for a CZ guy Harold....

Dan - You're correct. There was an early BigFoot that worked on the 5900, 6000, and first Eagle machines, and then they came out with the BigFoot with the little jumper box installed on the cable and you could flip the jumper inside the box so it could be used on the Eagle II SL or the earlier Eagle. The third was made only for the later 6.59 machines. The cost of a used BigFoot for the XL Pro, XLT, etc. should run about $225 - $300.
