Bigfoot Beach Gold?

I just picked up my new/old Bigfoot coil from the PO. One of the things I want to try with it is finding gold "microjewelry" at the beach. Virginia Beach is about 250 acres of sand which is heavily sanded-in and targets of all kinds are surprisingly few. The low tide surf zone "the lane" is heavily hunted by serious detecrtorists armed mostly with ML Excaliburs. I suspect that they couldn't get a beep out of their machines if they rubbed a thin chain right on the coil. We'll see if the Bigfoot and the V3 can do better.

So far, in air testing, I have found that in the coin and jewelry mode, it detects the thinnest chain I can purloin from my wife's jewelry box at a couple of inches when I wave it past the coil while keeping the clasp and pendant in my hand and out of the coil's "sight". So far, so good, but few gold chains are found in the air.

What advice do all of you have for me on this?

Did well with the bigfoot on my DFX at the beach found many gold rings with it. I have been told by Jimmy the guy who sold them that the Bigfoot was not good on the V3 for any depth at all.
Something about the 22.5 kh not working or being tuned for the bigfoot coil. He said there were plans to make a bigfoot for the V3 but had no Idea on a time line for it. I would love to have one tuned for the V3 as it would be a sweet beach hunting tool. Some guys say that they are doing OK with the Bigfoot on the V3 let us know how your Quest turns out as if there is not a new one soon I may go for a old one my self it is a great coil sad that they are not in production again yet. Hi Folks,
I posted a message earlier today,asking if anyone could assist with a problem with the V3 I just recieved Friday.
It would constantly fluctuate all over the VDI grid,even when raised in the air.I did several adjustments,which seemed to
level it out a bit,but at a cost of reducing the gain down to nearly off,level 3.I even tried different filter settings.
After many hours of frustration,I called White's.They thanked me for contacting them and said they would send out
a new machine right away,with a return box for the wacky one.WOW!..What great service! I have been a DFX user for
several years and find that it's a great machine.So,it was a major let down when the V3 did not perform correctly.
Now,once again,I cannot wait to get the new one,just to see what this baby can do!

The hottest coil for the V for the Beach (for now) is the 950 as you can run the 950 very hot......which will give you good depth and the sensitivity to small jewelry is very good, if there's any other coil out there for the Beach let me know .
