Big tides again!

Here is a picture my girlfriend took of me detecting yesterday, she's just getting in to photography. A chap found a gold 1885 half sovereign here yesterday! I did a night hunt last night, nothing much in my scoop, but I did have the pleasure of seeing a shooting star very close to me, it was worth it just for that :)

Man...that looks good...shooting B&W takes an eye... A gold half sovereign you say? I bet that chap wet his waders,!

Living here on the Gulf coast of Florida, we don't get those extreme high/low tide changes. Most people visiting can't even tell if it's low or high when on the beach.
Thought these low then high pics were pretty neat. http://www.ba-bamail.com/Content.aspx?emailid=5732&memberid=747728#.UxsKhpoo5jp

Nice pic W.W.! I enjoy photography myself! No one knows what the ground holds, whether it be field or beach. If there was one half Sovereign found, who knows how many there could still be there lying hidden in the sands. Keep swinging!!!:detecting:

Well, click my shutter. That is awsome! It would make a very personalized Avitar.

Note to self: take camera on next detecting run. - I need more pics of my hobby for when I can no longer get into the cold water to dig a dime so thin you can see through it!

Beautiful photos, Bob. It really shows the danger of not knowing about the tides and the beauty as well.
Water wizard, hope you find one of those gold coins. Your girlfriend takes some good photos.

Love that photoshop.....neat pic...........

Brings back good memories. Hard to believe it was 20 years ago that I had 4 memorable years in the UK; many times saw the tides move at Blackpool beach. Too bad I was not detecting at the time. The low tide would expose 1/4 mile of beach and mud flat that would soon be swallowed up by the rising tide. Dug and ate a lot of delicious razor clams from the mud flats.

I love the black and white images. Sometimes the black and white photos show a much better image than full color. Thanks for posting the picture.
Cheers,
tvr
