Big silver...........: )

Myself and a couple of detecting buddies went to a couple of parks today and a small college. Lots of clad and Bugsy got a nice 42 merc and a nice 1882 Indian head. Lee got a couple of wheat's with the oldest being a 1914. I was getting a little frustrated not finding much and finally at the college I walked across the street from the library to this old brick home that was turned into a health clinic for the college. I started working along the edge of the paved driveway and pulled out a 42 walking liberty half. I scratched it with my digging tool and it's the first time I have ever done that. I'm trying to make my plugs as small as possible and when you don't pinpoint right on then that's what happens I guess. All in all we had a good day and nothing beats detecting with your buddies.......:) HH.

I haven't found a Walker in a long time. Chuck and I once both dug a Walker at the same time and about ten feet from each other at a club hunt in Tacoma at an old college a few years back. He was on his knees looking at me and I was on my knees looking at him both holding the walkers like hahaha look what I got. It was kinda funny.

I hate when I hit those nice old coins. I managed to hit my Silver Roosevelt Dime and 2 Wheats yesterday. That's what happens when you dig them deep sometimes. WTG and Great coin. I hope you find more nice keepers. You may want to check what I found yesterday Eddie! You are going to like it!

Thanks Chuck. I do use my X-1 probe, but like I said, I have been trying to make my plug cuts as small as possible and I must have dinged it when I was cutting my plug. My first ding in four and a half years of detecting, so I guess I haven't done that bad. HH.

Don't tell anyone, but I'm sure we are talking about the same college that you and Chuck went to if it starts with a P and ends in a U...:) When are you going to join the club again? HH.

I've been out at sea during the last few meeting times but I'll be home for the next one. I'm at sea now but will be home in a week. Here's a few finds from my last couple of outings on B.I. I'll have to drag Chuck out for some hunting at some of my new spots on the Island.

Thanks Mike. I think this is my fifth one that I have found. They are nice to find, but I would trade one for a seated coin anytime.....:) HH.

Eddie

The heck with Chuck!!! Take me so I can get me one of those seated coins..........:) Nice coins by the way.......:) Maybe sometime we can get together and you can show me how to dig one of those seated coins. See you at the meeting. HH.

I've got an old road bed in the woods on the Island that was used heavily between two old communities from around 1856 thru the 1930's that I've been meaning to hunt. Lots of foot traffic. Should have some interesting stuff. Maybe even a Seated or two.

You need to take Eddie with you so he can find a Seated like you have found. I sure would like to see him find one this year! Great bunch of coins and Good Luck to you and HH.

Yep you are right! Nice find anyway! You keep hunting you will find that seated coin shortly :)
