First post of the year for me. Just haven't taken the time to get out this year. Hit some new house sites that turned out to be duds earlier in the year and just couldn't get in gear. The farmer I mostly hunt on called to say he would be planting one of the old sites we have beat into oblivion so I thought I'd give it one last try before fall. This site has produced some good finds over the years but nonferrous signals has become rare at best. DarrellD got a indian there last fall just to make me look bad but he usually does. Today I started in the most iron infested spot at the site and got the perfect 12-45 signal that usually would be a large cent or mason jar lid. What a surprise! Don't know how we ever missed it. Just like they say, you can never get it all. The only thing that could of made it better was if it had been a 1796 US coin.
