Hello all! Went out last night and tried a new-to-me area of the DG course but for almost the entire hunt I used an 8 kHz program. Kept digging small mid-conducting targets, like small caliber bullets, deep can slaw, and when I found a small aluminum jean rivet at 4" that sounded good...I decided to go back to 4 kHz!!!

Was walking back to the car and got a faint mid-to-high toned target, and out came a nice 1917 S Wheat at 6"...OK! So I am not skunked this hunt at least...I thought to myself. Got a cool LeBonheur Children's Hospital token - never seen one before! Then came a shallow clad quarter and dime, followed by a couple copper Memorials at 10 feet of ground remaining until I hit concrete. I knew that the closer I got to the road, the more junk targets existed, so I decided to pick out ONE LAST TARGET. Scanned an area 2 feet from the road and got the usual burp burp bep burp bep BEEP! burp. Centered on the BEEP and it read "88-89" in 4 kHz.

"Probably a chunk of brass or copper" I thought to myself, but this is the last target! Dug down about 6" and didn't initially get a hit with the Propointer. Rescanned and it was still there, solid and firm target, very sweet-sounding. Poked around the hole a little more and then saw a large silver rim...did the happy dance and laughed for probably longer than I should have! First 90% Kennedy half EVER!

Will be rechecking that area next hunt - this half was about 6-7" deep and there's no mesh in the way. Targets are very dense near the curb, but the prospect of more silver will always have me coming back!

Very nice!

CZ, outstanding find. You are hitting home runs with the Deus these past couple months.
