Big Silver Broke Slump!!!!!

Stopped raining today and got to go out when the wife got home. Wasn't doing to well, until I got a nice hit at 83-85 on the AT. The coin was on it's side, because I tried from another direction and got a lower TID at 75-76 but it was a constant signal. So I dug and out popped this beauty.

Nice find. Congrats..

Nice!

Sorry I haven't posted sooner, but I haven't had much of a chance to hunt lately due to all the rain we've been getting here in Nor Cal. I forgot to mention it was about 5" down.

It hit really hard at first, and my initial thought was can. There was a couple of indicators that made me think otherwise though. First was when I turned and was getting a different signal, and second was while pin-pointing it didn't read at 2" like cans normally do. It also pin-pointed small. So i dug and saw the eagle first, flipped it over and saw the beautiful head on it. 1878 was the first year morgans were minted, so I can't get any older on the morgans.

And the Morgans are one of the most desireable coin finds, so now whaddya gonna find? They're over 7/10 oz. of Silver ( I hear, not having found one (yet  )).
I would have made a puddle if I pulled that big beauty out of the dirt!
