BIG silver and other goodies today!

went to an older home today found some goodies, a neat state of Ohio watch fob, cover from a pocket watch, ford key, organ reed, normal modern clad coins. Got 3 wheats, a 1936 mercury dime, 1943 silver war nickel, and my first EVER SILVER half dollar.......1950 Franklin, that made my day!

I got a half dollar signal on my detector, and every time I have ever had that is has been junk every single time........what a shock when I cut the plug, opened the hole and saw a big silver disk in the hole! It was less than 4" deep.

A good day's hunt in any ones book, my friend. Gotta love the Ben Franklin. TomB

Congrats on your first benny.

Was their another coin in the hole with the war nickel? From the way the war nickel looks, it looks like their may have been a coin on top of it.

Nice haul! You sure have been getting the good stuff!

Nice days work! Did the half read 44? What coil were you using and was the site trashy? Good job.

it did read 44, it bounced a little 42-44-even 46, but it was a sweet signal, no cracking or popping, stock coil was on, site was fairly clean
