My vacation is over and I am back in NYC. Unfortunately It has been raining since I am back and looks like it will be another week before I can go detect due to this wet weather. I will have 2 days a week where I can detect, with a girl watching my mom. And the weekends It will all depend on if Mom is sleeping or mobile to know if I can escape at all...She is far More bed bound than before. Though she does get up at times and roam on her own. She is not roaming much it seems.

I detected all the local parks, and found about 24-26 dollars in change 1 tiny earring I think is gold and 3 bracelets. 1 was marked 18k but no chance in the world it is being it is tarnished badly. the other 2 I do not know for sure but going to by a test kit and see or a tester.
 
California is a big place, what part were you pillaging? And I mean that in the best possible way. I don't have many expeditions that prove so fruitful. OK, so I am a bit envious. I am sympathetic with your family situation. God bless you for being there for her in hard times. Many are not willing or able to care for those who cared for them. I believe your faithfulness will be rewarded.
