Quick run to the beach after work with my son for some beach hunting. 5 minutes in he waves me over, he opens his palm and this beauty is sitting there. We have found our share of rings that look great and turn out to be CZ but this one looked like it could be the real deal and the band was stamped 14K. So when we got home we put the diamond tester to work and sure enough all the diamonds tested real! A quick run to our local jeweler and he confirmed it was the real McCoy!

Some pretty good success on rings over the 4 months of swinging the Nox.

Nice bling Eric!! Are you hunting fresh or salt, in or out of the water?

My son gets the credit as they are mostly all his finds. I still grind out long work weeks so limited beach time for me, but I got a few in my stash. These are all salt water with most of the rings found at the low tide in wet sand and up to 12" of water as the waves go in and out. He has an 800 and mostly sticks to the program settings of Beach 1 or 2. He has developed a good ear and knows when he has a good target.

Fantastic find! Any chance of tracking down the owner? A ring like that found and returned would make an awesome news piece.

I don't see how, no markings other than 14K on it and the beach it came from has hundreds of thousands of people every weekend.

Good Job ......

Very Nice !

Thanks for the post.
