Big nugget and small specie

B.T

New member
Hi all. Heres a pic of a big nugget my boss's mate found. All 53 oz of it.
Next is a specie I got with my 70. Found in a washed out gully about 8 inches down in gravels.
Sens was 20, tracking on using the 10x5 elipt. Has 1/3 of oz in it.

Finding that 10 grammer at 8 inches is pretty awesome BT! Who'd want to find a 53 ouncer anyway?.......
I'm glad it was found in your part of the world, as it's been done over pretty hard for a long time. So that'll sort out the fair dinkums from the wanta be's! Hopefully they only see it with blinkers on and will be drawn into the triangle, never to be seen again.
Mick Evans.

The biggy was found somewhere near ........ in Victoria. Australia.
The specie not far from Vaughan. Yeah I was wrapt that it came in like it did from depth but it was from that depth honestly. It was a good soft but no mistake signal. I allways believe that species bang in harder than gold on its own and it is possible that if the gold in that had been liberated it may not have been heard. All of my deepest found gold over the years has been specimen type with either quartz or ironstone. And some of the strangley weak signal gold I have found, weak pathetic signals for the depth, has been free from quartz and ironstone. Not all and not a hard and fast rule as at times ive seen specie stuff give weak signals but there has been enough of a pattern seen to lean towards that, I guess, theory.

Congratulations BT, Must have got the blood pumping when you pulled that out. I'll be down your way in May/June, you'll have to take me out and show me how to set the X-70 up and what to look for, for gold, I've never been Gold Detecting before,:surrender:
