Big Lake Buffalo.

Heavy wind on the Big lake for the past few days, then all of a sudden, it went flat and turned around on itself late last night and knocked the surf down enough for a few hours this morning...so I dropped into these cuts with the AtPro.[attachment 313476 may20-15-1.jpg]
See all this black sand? It layers up and really messes with a signal, very hard to hunt...When you salties refer to 'black sand', is this something similar? its really blowing out now down to the hardpack! That tall dune face is a vertical cut with tons of sand gone...
It looked like something out of a museum display with all the various layers going back years...it calves off great big chucks every so often like a glacier, so I'm always careful when getting up close for a picture...a fellow could easily get buried if it calved off at the wrong time! I got this stuff..there was a frost warning last night, its mid 40ish air temp...yet, I was sweating in the waders walking such a long way working these long cuts..then, all of a sudden, the wind came back onshore cold and mean and I went home..goldless once again!...:sadwalk:..[attachment 313478 may20-15-3.jpg][attachment 313479 may20-15-2.jpg]
