Big isn't always better

Got out for 3 hours this afternoon to a couple of empty lots here in town that I had hit some years back with a Fisher CZ7a. I was really surpised at what I had missed, I only got hunted between the sidewalk and the curb. In the CZ7a's defense, I'm pretty sure I was using the 10 1/2" spider coil on it, and there is lots of nails and trash, today I was using the 6"EQ coil on the etrac. I was running the etrac with auto sensitivity, which ran at around 27 with the 6" coil, and 22 with the pro coil, deep off, fast off, high trash off, and difficult on the ground setting. I went back over about half the area with stock pro coil and didn't find a thing that the EQ had missed, so I'm good with feeling in really trashy area's that the 6" coil can get all that is gettable. Ended up with a 44 merc, 1898 injun, a 35, 39, 42,44, 2-52d, 2-54d wheaties, and one so warn that all that is left is the 19??. Had a fun hunt, and 2 lots is gonna take a while to cover good with the 6" coil, so don't have to find another spot for a while. Hope everyone got out and had some luck, and thanks for looking. ken-ks

Thanks for the pictures and the coil information Ken. Appreciate you taking the time to fill us in!!

That 6" is a hammer on the ET!

I'm sure you'll like the coil bottle, mine runs lots higher in auto than the pro coil in lots of iron trash, so as far as depth goes in junk the to coils come out about equal. I think it does excellent in the separation department. I don't ever find to many places that are trashed so I run the 6" coil at least 80 percent of the time. Hope you have lots of luck with yours when you get it. ken-ks

I agree Ken. I love the 6" EQ although I don't use it as often as I should. I did use it recently in one of my last hunts in an area I covered with the pro coil and pulled out another silver dime. The video footage is in episode 4 of my youtube video series.
