Big Iron or Small Iron in relic mode?

I run the MXT in relic mode, disc 2, and trigger center possition for CW relics. Normally dig all signals with VID over 0. Realized recently that all iron including large iron (large fragments, gun tools, etc.) are all reading below 0.
Is there any way to tell large iron from small (nails, barbed wire, etc.)?

off the top of the scale in the "large object" range. The only other way to tell how big iron is is to pinpoint and get a feel from that how big the item is.

I have always wonder, what these iron reading were? Some that i get here are 9 or 10 inches deep never really dug them always wonder if it was a coin out of range. What have you been finding are any of them coins?

Prospecting mode tells % of iron. Over 10% probably iron.
