Big gold haul with GMT in Australia:ausflag:

Check this out. The boss,s mate got a GMT from him to work an area littered with rubbish as his GPX 4500 wouldn't stop howling because there was too much junk for it to handle.
He ended up scoring 30oz of the good stuff.

Nice! I love the gold and quartz pieces especially.

The guy needs to get back into that area ASAP. There is a lot more gold there.

I hope he finds a hundred ounces more.

Impressive results . . . . . . what a photo as well! Goes to show that sometimes spending more $$$ does not mean more finds . . .

Minelab 4500 ($4,998.97) which doesn't work in trashy areas :surprised: VS. a White's GMT ($799.95) which works in a trashy area:detecting:. Then finding 30oz of gold """PRICELESS""":hot: WTG I'd hit that area over & over again until I collapsed:jump:

What time does our flight leave? That sure is purty! Makes you wanna grab you beeper and hit the hills.
I wouldn't have come back until I cleaned it all out, how about you?

Wow, I do not own a GMT but would like to know. Please, how does that Audio iron ID "Grunt" and Full-time iron ID Bar Graph work, anyone??

Thank you!

First post here for Jingles BT...
That's really something !!!
I've had a few Minelab PI's SD2000, SD2100,GP Extreme,3000 and my last was a 3500.
I've read your recent posts regarding the X-Terra70, and you've shown that the VLF detectors are not finished in our goldfields.
I'm about to get back into the prospecting again, and was going to go for an X-Terra 70, but now I see what was gotten with the GMT
you've got ol' Jingles excited mate!!!
How would you compare the GMT against the '70 in our Victorian goldfields???
I was looking at the Vision ( V3 ) also, as it has a 20 khz prospecting mode.
The '70 runs at 18 khz in prospecting mode, but 50 khz is going to be hotter, especially to the small nuggets.
But your pics were not small nuggets eh !!!
I know of a few places I had to walk away from in the past that were heavily iron trashed, but I know there are nuggets to be found,
I've seen Jimmy Sierras videos on the GMT and he does great demos on setting the GMT to ignore black sand etc.
But our Victorian goldfields are so hot __ especially Wedderburn, how does the GMT handle our hot ground?
I saw Jimmy hit a hot zone in the video, and had to reduce his gain quite a bit to get stable again, previous Gold Masters
have had the "jitters" with our minerallisation here, how did the current GMT behave ?

Sorry about all the questions, but "how do ya learn; if ya don't ask questions???
