Big Foot 4R V-3 ???????

Did anybody hear of a Big Foot 4R the V-3 yet???????? Mickfin

iLL take that as a NO????

The Bigfoot is a complicated loop, and to make it work with V3 will take a lot of redesign. It is currently being built by an independent company that doesn't have the know-how to do this. Right now, White's doesn't have anyone available to help out. So the short answer is, a V3 Bigfoot is a ways out.

Thanks Carl 4R your reply, Mickfin

That does help with expectations. It'll be worth the..........................................................................................................................................................wait.

I would think the Bigfoot would work pretty good in the 7.5 single frequency. A friend borrowed mine and did pretty good with it. Has any one else did some testing on single frequency? Most of us knows about the 22.5 VDI's being off in the nickle range........are there other problems?

YES! I think it is time for White's to stand up and tell why some of us find the BigFOOT to pinpoint off the BACK half of the coil ! ! !

I say White's because AFTER I sent my Vision in for POD repair and sound software updates, thing are different with the way the BigFOOT works!

White's replaced my 10DD coil. I told White's I had also had a problem with the Salt/Beach program when pinpointing. I COULD SEE the quarter on the sand...BUT it would not pinpoint that coin. This was with the 10DD coil AND the BigFOOT coil.

OTHER than a new 10DD coil, what did White's do? Re-program? Re-tune? What?

It's sounding like some of the EARLY units had a bad tune/program.

As for POD repairs---HOW MANY have had this problem?

Most coils treat quadrants 1 & 3 as being the same, and quadrants 2 & 4 as being the same. Bigfoot is the only coil (to my knowledge) where all 4 quadrants are unique. When a V3 is factory calibrated, it is a random flip of the coin (50/50) as to how the Bigfoot quadrants are processed. So some will pinpoint on the front half, some on the back half.

This can happen if you raise the loop up in the air, pull the pinpoint switch, and lower the loop to the sand. Instead, keep the loop to the sand, move it off to the side of the target, and pull the pinpoint switch.

Nope, they were fine.

As for POD repairs---HOW MANY have had this problem?

Not many, but we've re-engineered the pod to eliminate this.

I'M a Jewelry Hunter only, I thought I would never sell my Bigfoot, as it was doing weird things on my V3, and now I'M using the White's V Rated Super 12 and having real good luck with it on the V3. As it Covers lots of ground - Go's deeper than the Bigfoot - and pinpoints very good - Dead on VDI Readings

My only Compliant with the Super 12 is it don't like Trashy hunting sites, even low trashy sites will make the V3 will go NUTS on you, as with the Bigfoot it would fair pretty good in trashy hunting sites.
