Big coil options for Explorer II

I have the SEF 10 X 12 and 12 X 15, the smaller of the 2 is a better all around coil, the larger one is quite heavy, but I have found coins that I missed with the 10 X 12 with it. There is another coil by them called the ultimate 13 that is supposed to be good. Coiltec also has some coils that are supposed to be very good.

I've been using the ultimate 13 and like it. It's the coil I use when searching for deep coins. This coil is very light weight for it's size. It feels lighter than the slimline 10 inch...Syd

Thanks, Syd! I have been looking at the Ultimate 13 coil, and think that it will suit my needs just fine. If I can get 3-4 more inches depth, it will be great for those deep CW relics, which seem to be all that's left around here to find.

I have one and you definitely get more depth. And it does better than expected in heavy trash. Can't say if it is any better than similar size coils from other manufacturers.

the SEF 12 x15 is very, very deep! I think it will add that 3 or 4 inches on those type items or more over the stock coil. I used that coil to find all of this at a hammered site on my last trip to VA.
