Big Bud Pro model help ...

Willee - Texas

Well-known member
What model is this detector?
It is red on top and black on back side.
Says Big Bud Pro on face.
Searched internet but all I could find was about the 220D and the N/T.
No photos found.
I dont think it is the 220D as the controls dont match.
Is it the N/T?

Anyone got a manual for this detector?

It is as the name says...The Big Bud Pro...might check in on the Analog forum...Those guys know much more about the older machines...

HH,

Voted detector of the year 1988...Solid 8 inch depth unit with blanker, notch and brightly colored meter..Calls rusty beer caps coins, strong on the silver end ..weak on the lower end nickle side. Tough on batteries and I used to use 3 sets of rechargeable 9 volt batteries that lasted 2 hours on the button.Keith Wills, broken detector.com just may have a manual as they are tricky to use without a manual...Nice detector for being approx. 20 years old....

Used a site which is not allowed...Google Keith Wills metal detector for info to get manual if he has one..

the only difference it has a salt water setting

i use 2 packs of aa batteries with 6 in each pack

you can hunt a long time with these

or use the 26oo ma rechargeables and they wok fine too

it has the most accurate coin meter bar none and is unbeatable for iding canadian coins

quality on the switches, cables knobs is the lowest in the industry

He has the Big Bud Pro circa 1988, believe me I am looking at the pictures and owned one..220 is a much later unit with similarities..

on top of Nobs and had Red on the Readout. I had one years ago myself and it was a good detector but not like what I am using now. So your model isn't the 220-d. It also had a Depth Meter and was LCD instead of Needle for Target ID. Have you tried searching with Google? Just punch up Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro User's Manual and you maybe find a Manual that you can print out. Just a thought! Good Luck and HH.
