PROVERBS 28:27
HE THAT GIVE UNTO THE POOR SHALL NOT LACK BUT HE THAT HIDETH HIS EYES SHALL HAVE MANY A CURSE.

PSALM 41: 1-3

1 BLESSED HE THAT CONSIDERETH THE POOR. THE LORD WILL DELIVER HIM IN TIME OF TROUBLE

2 THE LORD WILL PRESENVE HIM AND KEEP HIM ALIVE, AND HE SHALL BE BLESSED UPON THE EARTH, AND THOU WILT NOT DELIVER HIM UNTO THE WILL OF HIS ENEMIEIS.

3 THE LORD WILL STRANGTHEN HIM UPON THE BED OF LANGUISHING. THOU WILT MAKE ALL HIS BED IN HIS SICKNESS

Lord will is to help those that have less than us, but we will receive more.

Honestly, I've seen this at work first hand. The only place I might disagree with some stateside teachers is they restrict the result to it meaning you get more money when you give money. I found that what happens is when you give of yourself, and then everything follows that you have, incredible things happen in your whole being. Imagine being able to give a Bible to those so poor that their wildest dream is to have their own Bible to read. Or to be able to help bring eyesight to someone who can't afford treatment for cataracts by helping arrange what is a simple surgery here. Or to develop a program that rescues children from the street that will not live to see 20 without YOUR involvement. Or bringing safe drinking water to a place by drilling a well where the child mortality rate is 60% from water borne disease and few adults live past their 40's.

Never restrict it to just giving money, Give all that you are and watch what happens. You might end up a less well off in the eyes of the world but oh, the rewards you reap can be unimaginable.
