I am thinking about buying one and I need some info on it good , bad and ugly :) . Like how well does it handle the saltwater/beaches , what type of depth does it get and how accurate are the tones ? Any info will be helpful . Thanks

I've had one for three years and I hunt fresh water only.
The led lights are a good feature in describing what's under the coil.
Never had a leak in the case neither. The only thing is the led lights are hard to see in full sunshine
but that can be solved by using the shade of your body.
I have the 9.5 coil and has a bad habit of floating. The newer yellow one has solved that problem somewhat.
I dig all just to see what the targets will be and the three led lights are pretty dead on.
Blueish-green for gold and silver yellow for coins and jewelry and red for iron based metals unfortunately also ferrous based coins that we have.
I've found coins and other artifacts up to 10-12 inches pop cans 18-20 inches.
To solve the floating coil upward moves I use a attachment that Whites sells for around $10 keeps the coil level ( coil stabilizer bracket )
The pinpointing is motion pinpointing and once you master it you'll do well with it.
Early in the season I usually go hunt a soccer field to sharpen up my pinpointing skills.
Have found lots of coins and mans gold wedding band that way. Just be prepared to dig everything to see what the detector is telling you.
Its not a PI so you may not get the depth as it is a VLF and can isolate the target a Little better before choosing to dig .
I'd recommend it and would get the yellow coil which I will eventually put on mine.
If you check the water-beach scuba forum some of the people there use it in salt water situations.
