I think I saw the supertune set up a while back but can't find it. Can somebody out there post it again? Thanks for your help.

Same machines except for the coils and earlier BHID's had a black rubber control box seal that was later swapped for the better brown one.

Beachhunter ID Tips for Significantly Increasing Depth.

1- turn on the BH & go through the normal set up (steps 2 through 4)
2-set sens to pre-set with mode switch in disc mode.
3-turn threshold control to faint threshold
4-set mode switch to all-metal mode& ground balance machine normally
5-after ground balancing & while still in the all-metalmode, turn the sen. to max. the threshold will change to a high shrill.
6-hit the reset to return to a normal threshold
7-return to the all metal mode & re-do the ground balance. there will be a narrower window within which to balance at this time.
8-leave the mode switch in all-metal mode & begin hunting. there will be a marked improvement in depth.
9-*** NOTE ***- there will no longer be tone identification between targets. However , the target identification lights will still be accurate

Using the supertune it's really is like a PI but with ID.......... Chime in guys!

I wish I had gotten this unit 10 years ago! I've used Excal,HH PI, Stingrays, Surfmaster Beach hunter (VLF), headhunter VLF. Whites surfmaster PI. This unit hands down has produced better in fresh and Salt water.

Thanks for the old supertune info, I actually managed to locate it on another forum. Never really used the supertune option, kind of wondered if it was for real. Sounds like some users swear by it. Have thought about swapping the BHID 300 for a Dual Pulse. My TH buddy uses one and loves it.

I swear it acts like a PI with real ID. (BHID)
