BHID coil delimma solved, Supertuning works.....

After trying the tuning tip I got from gobble-gobble I've relized that I don't need anymore depth. Iam still sore from all the digging!!!! One thing I noticed is sometimes the ID is not right but it appears that the BHID averages up on the ID which is ok by me. I'd rather the machine if it dosen't know what the target is have it show med(yellow) and it be an iron bit than have a med/yellow item show red at great depth. Basicly it's ok if the machine fibs UP on the disc to me. I was running in AM mode with the sens at the 4:00- 5:00 position almost wide open. Unit was stable and I could crawl along and really listen to those wispers........ Iam impressed.
The BHID is very critical on the tuning, Threshold too high = lost depth .... Threshold too low = lost depth. GB set wrong = lost depth/ falsing. Get it in the sweet spot and does strike deep, reminds me of a CZ6a sometimes. After using the PI I had for awhile it was not that hard to hunt in AM. Dug some items that had to be at least 14 inches or more deep. I hunted for about 6 hours in a two day run. I'll be sticking with the 9.5 loop it's just too bad it floats, but skimming along at the water line it worked great almost floated along.

Big thanks to gobble-gobble for the heads up on the tuning trick and all the info passed along to me from all of you.!! Had I not had the help of all you other exp. users I would have wrote this thing off as a medoric machine. Thanks to All !!!!!!

Now the good stuff - - - Treasure!!! (1) one 14k band w/ 3 dia in the band, (2)one old style wedding ring 10k w/ dias the dias are in rough shape / one missing. (3) One Girl Scout ring from 1949-1953 very cool w/ green stone 10K but it was GF ;( . (4) One 10k wg toe ring that was consficated by my wife, lol. Also, several older items a old ronston lighter, an alunium ID braclet, a screw on needle for a syringe. A pile of coins and other assorted junk. Also found some little speck targets at good depth so I'm not worried about missing small items. Sorry for the crap pix, damm toy camera phone.

So to sum it all up. BHID ROCKS!!!!!!!! even with the 9.5 coil. If it's tuned in, it's a depth monster, you just have to slow down and listen!!!

:clapping:Glad you like the program James. You sure did well. In sept going to Fla with 2 other club members to hunt the treasure coast. We are each bringing 3 detectors, can you guess which one I'am useing first. Put a straight shaft on with the tee handle , it will stop the floating. Like you said this program:super: "ROCKS":super: ,everyone who has the BH should be useing this, if they don't OH WELL. . Again on a good day with the right conditions in all metal you should have no problem diggin 15" sounds unreal does'nt it.But when they try it WOW. Here in NY, LI . I dug alot of yellow with this program, & when I cashed it in $$$$$$$. I have other name brand water detectors, pound 4 pound the BHID is right there with them.
GOOD HUNTING & LOTS OF LUCK WITH THIS ROCKING PROGRAM.
