BHID 300 ?

I am looking into getting one of these machines and I was wandering what type of depth I should expected , any info would be helpful . Thanks

I have the standard 9.5 floater coil and will get 8 to 10 inches in the sand.
Using BHID Supertune it will find deeper targets
(Gobble Gobble ) one of the forum users posted that info a few years ago .

It's the Whites Beach Hunter 300 ID, underwater Two frequency detector. It has a 12'' coil and three led lights for target ID, along with variable tones to go with the lights. It's a very good detector, with discrimination and all metal mode. It's water proof to 25' . I had one and found many gold and silver rings, bracelets and necklaces. I use the Excal II now because of it's extreme depth. but I wish I still had my Beach Hunter ID for a back up machine. Gene

I wish I had gotten it 10 years ago!!!! Now if I only had the soild coil and not the floater crosshair coil!!

I bought a BHID a few weeks ago and if you supertune it, you will go very deep indeed. I pulled some metal from at least 18-20 inches with it in all metal mode.

Just my taxed .02

(1) Turn on the BHID & go through the normal set up ( steps 2 thru 4)

(2) Set Sens. to pre-set with mode switch in disc mode.

(3) Turn threshold controlto faint threshold.

(4) Set mode switch to all-metal mode & ground balance machine normally.

(5) After ground balancing& while still in all metal, turn the sens. to MAX. The threshold will change to a high shrill.

(6) Hit thr reset to return to a normal threshold.

(7) Return to all-metal mode & re - do the ground balance. There will be a narrower window within which to balance at this time.

(:geek: Leave the mode switch in all metal mode & begin hunting. There will be a marked improvement in depth.

(9) Note: There will no longer be tone identification between the targets. However, the target identification lights will still be accurate.
