BHID-300 going back to factory

Fellow treasure hunters,

Am very disappointed in how this detector hits on targets and on the depth. I read the manual again, listened to your input, lowered sensitivity readjusted grnd bal.Still no better depth. My buddies with the big boys are killing me for finds.Alot of targets they pick up I cant even touch with the BHID.A quarter buried in the wet fresh water sand at 8 inches I cant even get a squeak in the descrim mode.
You users of the BHID-300 check the coils response by waving a quarter out to the side of the coil and see how far you get the response. This concentric coil should be hot all the way around; deepest above and underneath. In descrim I cant go any further than about a half inch away from side of coil to generate an audible sound and thats as far as it gets. Now my CZ-21 W/10 and a half inch coil in discrim mode I can generate an audible repetable signal out to the coils side at 5 inches.Lots of coverage area here. Its almost like the coil is operating like a 8 inch coil.
Will see,Im sure the factory will treat me right. Will be in touch, Steve

Thanks Beach Hunter for keeping my confidence up. Im still certain this can be a great machine for my application. Steve

Sorry to hear you had a problem. Ya know ya could just send it to me, and I'll throw it in the gulf for ya! lol. Yell back and let us know how it does!

Several unhappy reports on BHID 300 recently. On this machine specifically. Because of them I changed my mind and for fresh water instead of BHID bought Headhunter Wader. At least $600 cheaper. And much less negative reports.
I hope new owners of Whites will improve BHID soon! :whites:

They even sent me free parts!!! At NO charge!! 110% free.

Problems happen with everything, But when you send it back to the company ,it's how fast the turn around is. & Whites turn's it right over in & out most of the time the same day. Like BH sez been useing the BHIID for many years, ONE HECK OF A DETECTOR.

What are you talking about, White's does not have new owners, I would know I work for White's.

It is not true that the founder pased away and now his daughter tries to run the business? This info is not correct?

Nope, not so. The founder was Ken White, Sr and his wife, Olive. The company is currently run by his son Ken White, Jr.
