BH / Radio shack model 63-3015

Here is a link to a Radio Shack Spec sheet that is dated 1995. Not much info but something to start with: http://support.radioshack.com/support_games/doc15/15408.htm
The spanish version owner's manual states this detector is a Micronta unit, not a Bounty Hunter.
Does it work, Have you found anything with it yet? Keep us posted and good luck!

A Pic is worth a thousand words....Never heard of this model, but it sounds like one of the older type with the needle, and forward facing handle grip....

Let us know how it works for you....

I should pay better attention! Here is the correct link and it does look like a BH unit, maybe a Sharpshooter II.
The last link takes you to the BH product page and it looks like a close match. I looks like the 63-3015 has a knob for manual ground balance adjustment and the Sharpshooter II has automatic balancing. Hope this helps.

Nice research, twalton !!

But according to the control panel shown in the manual, the unit seems to be the Radio Shack verion of the LAND STAR.

That is definitely Radio Shack's version of the Land Star...looks exactly like my machine, save for the logos...

I use a Sharp Shooter II and it doesn't have the ground balance knob. Everything else looks the same!
It also doesn't have a depth gauge. I returned to the hobby this past January when my wife and I planned to visit Miami with a stopover at Sebastian Bay. Not having a detector for over 5 years I checked eBay and there were no offerings that were cheap for just this one time need. I looked in Craigslist and a Sharp Shooter II was being offered in Yonkers for $100. I secured the sale and took a train to Yonkers. On the train ride back to NYC I looked at the detector's controls and noticed it didn't have a depth gauge and I sort of got disillusioned since I gotta have a depth indicator or it's no go. Our trip to Miami was aborted and I immediately put the detector on eBay and made a very nice profit of $75.

I read favorable reviews of the Land Star and the added manual Ground Balance knob which, allegedly, was helpful at the beach. Before I could find one for a low-enough price, I grabbed a DISCOVERY 3300. Aggravating detector and, bam!, it was on eBay and I got my money back plus. A Land Star was offered for $250 and I convinced the guy to let me have it for $235, shipped. After I used it I discovered certain shotcomings such as my not being able to GB on wet sand, contrary to a convincing review. I'm holding on to it (no pun intended) until I see reviews of the FISHER F5 and I'll decide between it and a MINELAB X-Terra 70.

I didn't mean to wax on about my detectors just to point out that the SSII doesn't have a GB knob, nor a depth indicator.

I do believe that's the same as a LandStar, Check out the manual for the L/S and look at the face of the Radio Shack 630-3015 model.
