BH Platinum on beach

Anyone have experience with BH Platinum on salt water beaches? Manual says that it is not possible to ground grab on wet sand, yet, I have seen at least one post reporting good results in wet sand, any else find same?
 
I have to work a couple of days on Cape Cod, hoping to get in a little time with new Platinum, anyone have tips to share on locations, or, using a Platinum on the beach?
 
People say they don't have a problem...but with the effort I put in grabbing my soil I can't imagine the beach would be easy.
