BH Land Star

I've a BH Land Star and it seems to do a good job. It's my first and only detector and I don't know anyone else in this corner of the world who goes detecting, I've nothing to compare it to. I'm wondering what others think of this model. Where would you place it in the hierarchy and what would you say are it's good and bad points? Thanks. Glenn

Hey there Glenn. I cant help you directly because I dont own a Land Star. What I can offer is that I think you have a great first detector and you will have lots of fun and find interesting things with it once you have learned how to use it. I do own a BH Sharp Shooter II (my first machine) and a BH Pioneer 505 which I lend to a buddy who wants to tag along with me. The BH machines have helped me secure my interest in detecting and Ive upgraded to a couple high end machines since starting to detect three years ago. You are on the right track. hey glen iv had a land star for a year and a half and really like it seems like it compairs with some higher end machines when soil cond are right Ive hit coins at eleven inches or more and coins constant at 6-8 inches i still have a lot to learn about this machine about my only dislike is i find that if i swing to fast i get falsing but seems OK as it keeps me in check ton overlap my swing and do a through search hope this helps h/h
