BH Land Star Dept Indicator Accuracy?

Just curious if anyone has one of these and can vouch for the depth accuracy of the meter. I found a used one at a local pawn shop and was thinking of buying it for my dad.
Thanks in advance...

I tested mine the day I got it with some coins I buried in the yard at different depths and I was amazed at how accurate it really was and it told me what each coin was a penny, dime, nickel, quarter. Before you buy it try it out on some coins in the grass to check it out. Hold it up high above the coins and lower it down a inch at a time and see what it reads on the meter. That might help, it seems to work pretty good for me. Someone else may have a better way. Just don't try it on the concrete, it will pick up rebar in it. Hope this helps

Sometimes after Ive ground balanced in all metal mode Ive noticed that the TID,Depth will be off a little
,but if I put it in preset its pretty darn accurate

Forgot to say that after I GB in all metal I went back to disc mode...thats when it was off a bit, because
theres no TID/Depth in all metal mode, which is aggitating to me.

Just clairifying.
