BH Jr.

When I bought my Elite 2200 several weeks ago, I was entitled to a "Free" BH Jr. Well, the fine print said I had to send in $14 for my "free" BH Jr. Hummmmmm! Anyway, I sent in the money and now wonder if any of you have any experience with it.

Also, my Elite 2200 refuses to see the test penny, nickel and dime for what they are, so I am going to send it in to BH for recalibration or what ever they do. Have any of you had to return a unit for repair?

Thanks,

Mark

It uses 2 9v batteries, (the Jr.), has a weak speaker so it's tough to hear in noisy places-no headphone jack. It doesn't have as great a battery life as I expected. On the pro side, it does great on finding stuff and the discriminator works well, also. The handle was made for kids and is tough to swing with-I hold mine along the length of the body for more comfort. I got mine for $30 at Walmart with my Christmas gift card-so I can't complain too much. I just felt that since there was no tone ID or any other battery-eating extras, it would've gotten better battery life-especially since the speaker doesn't have that much of an output.
