Hello all,
I am very new to metal detecting, (since April 2012) I was wondering if any of you have used a bounty hunter gold seires. I would like to know the pro's and con's of the machine.
Seeing how this is my first metal detector I have no idea one way or another. Maybe you guy's could even share a few tips with me on this machine.
You help is greatly appreceiated.

Welcome to the forum! Do you have the BH Gold Tracker or one of the Fisher Gold Bugs? I know a little about several BH models, but a "gold series" detector is one I'm not familiar with by that name. The Tracker series, yes, as there's been many models bearing the Tracker name, Gold Tracker among them.

To get familar with any new machine, toss down your own practice targets, including coins or whatever you hope to find. Or not find, like nails, pulltabs and ,junk you don't want to dig. Now practice with the settings and learn the sounds the different targets make. That way, you won't be confused by all the sounds you hear while hunting. Tot lots are a great place to learn, and in your own yard, where you can also practice proper digging techniques.

Thanks Ed,
I have been doin that a little here and there, and I am getting more familiar with the machine each time I pick it up, which has not been latley. Because of work. But to your question The machine is just a BH gold series, the one they sell at Cabela's look's kinda like the BH Platnium.
I just can't find any other feedback on the machine except what's on the Cabela's website.
Thanks Again
Dave
