BH Elite 2200/ More Power & Higher Frequency? How Do I?

I have a BH Discovery/ Elite 2200 that I just bought (got a good deal on a new one). Now, knowing that the Fisher Gold Bug 2 operates at 70 kHz, is it possible to re-tune the 2200 to this frequency?

Also, is it possible to boost the output & increase the pre-amp gain to gain more depth?

I am working in desert terrain, looking for gold exclusively, and don't have to worry too much about trash. I want to be able to "hit" on a BB-size gold object at a depth of 24 to 36 inches. Military detectors are capable of this, so I am wondering if it is possible with my detector.

That would be one mighty big leap in frequency from 6.59Mhz to 70Khz...The whole circuit would have to be rebuilt..Not possible I am afraid...The Elite will find gold, but it is not a specialty gold hunter..
