BH Camo LS

HI,
I'm new here!
I just purchased a BH Camo LS on ebay.
Just wondering if anyone has one and can give their opinion on how it performs?
I also recently purchased a Discovery 1000 for $30.bucks at a pawn shop (any opinions on this too?) and took it straight to the beach and found a metal spade, which was cool because, right after I first got there I realized that I didn't have anything to dig with until I oncovered the spade with my shoe. I used the spade to uncover pop tabs, beer bottle caps and what looked to be a piece of an old rail from a railroad. Then I had to go pick up my kids and haven't had a chance to get back out since, mainly because of the never ending rain we had from IKE. But, as soon as my BH Camo LS gets here next week, the weather should be nicer and I plan on swinging a couple beaches again.
Thanks.
Rusty

The Camo LS is the Bounty Hunter Land Star in cammo...Also, great deal on the 1000....Pretty neat how God places things within your reach right when you need them huh??? Whenever I have been down on my luck and needed money, I have looked on the sidewalk to find a 10 or 20 lying there for me...Only thing I can do is look up and say "Thank you!!!"
having owned a Land Star, I can tell you that it is a great machine, when it works....by this I mean that in ALL-Metal Mode, the ground Balance can be manually adjusted and this is great, but in all other modes, the Ground balance id factory preset, and if your ground is highly mineralized, like mine is, the machine tends to act up and give a LOT of false signals...All I can say is read the manual at least twice and follow the instructions as you do so with your machine...do the air tests to get to know what sounds are produced by different objects...pass everything you can that is metal over the coil and see what it reads as and sounds like...make a test garden in the corner of your back yard, by burying different coins and metal objects (junk included) at different depths...plant objects one on top of the other too, and see how your detector reacts to them...try to imagine how objects might get mixed in the field...Most of all, DIG DIG and DIG some more, and in time, your machine and you will sing in perfect harmony...
To start, leave your SENS at noon, and your DISC all the way CCW..hunt in DISC mode, and if your not finding a lot of trash, try the ALL-Metal mode...notice the differences...in All-Metal, you hear only one tone, and it gets stronger as you near the center of your target...in the other modes, you have 3 tones, and your disply will show the probable target, and the depth...
Most of all...HAVE FUN!!!

Hey GoGoGopher,
Thanks for the info.
I just checked the UPS tracking # and my Camo LS is on it's way.
Should have it in a day or two. Can't wait to swing it!
I got a manual off the internet, so I could study it before the MD gets here.
There's an old gravel pit down the road from my place and I'm curious if there's any finds hiding there.
I'm hoping it'll give me some excercise swingin' that!
Thanks again.
