Beware of this company

:cool:I bought an Aquavision Pro underwater detector last year. It did better at my local swimming lake than I expected. I got it used off of E-bay from a "company" that sells them. Well they shipped me one that had a short headphones cord! I contacted them about it and they said "sorry but you bought it used". I then contacted the company that manufactures this unit and they have not responded to the last 3 emails nor my letter that I sent to them. I know I should have spent more and went with a good Whites, Garrett, etc but since I dont live near the ocean and just do a little detecting at this local lake I thought that this unit would be just fine. So guys take my advise. You get what you pay for and the better companies will at least talk to you. I am going to report this company to the Better Business Bureau. I do not like to be ignored.:ranting: Happy Hunting, DF.

Maybe if you decide to get a top brand you might have luck on the Metal Detecting Equipment Classified Forum for a used one. I hope BBB can give you some help.

Basically a worthless operation as far as i am concerned. They only repremand their own members and have no jurisdiction over non members. Ebay does have some protection if you bought into it from the time of purchase. The manufacturer will do nothing since you bought it used.......Put it back up on Ebay and try and recoup some of your money. Be sure to indicate that it is used.

I have one of these, and they are not 'real special', but they were cheap, and waterproof; the grandkids have yet to 'tear it up', and they are pretty talented, in that regard!
No, unless H*** freezes over, it will not replace my Fisher CZ-20, but is adequate for 'rough service' environments, or, for the kids.
I'm guessing you're into this rig less than $200 US, so, chalk it up to 'education'!
I buy and sell a ton of stuff on E-Bay, but, for the 'buying' part, I ask all the questions, and hear the answers, before I bid on anything, and look at the seller's 'feedback', in depth, if there's any real money involved.
It ain't a bad 'cheapie' rig, IMHO, and my kids and grandkids love it!

I have one also. Probably got it from the same company on EBay. Never found anything of value, but it was ok for just getting out in the surf (before I got my excals). But, chalk it up to Buyer beware.
