Was just hunting at an old couty fair grounds which was established in 1850. Found lot's of clad.
A target hit at 12-37 with a high tone and a low tone and I thought I had a penny with surrounding trash. I had
target trace and pinpoint on and noticed some trash. The good target showed 9 inches. I started digging and at 5 inches
I found an old rusty bolt. Damn I thought. I ran the 3030 over the hole again and the good target was still there. I kept digging
and out pops this 1872 Seated half dime. As I was hooting and hollering, the maintence guys from the park pulls up and asked if I was
ok. I showed him my find and he gets excited. He too Metal detects and has found Barbers and Mercs there as well. I ended up with
37 clad, a Merc, 3 Wheats, and this Seated Half Dime and the bolt.

This is sad all the build up and dealers don't have them to ship. That makes no sense at all guess the plan now it to trickle them out a little at a time. To make them seem hard to get. Minelab thinks there selling iPhones now I guess.

First and foremost, congrats on finding what is likely the first half-dime found with a CTX 3030. I found hundreds and hundreds of coins with mine, and quite a few Seated Liberties, but haven't hit a half dime yet. Secondly, thanks for making the post. As hard as I tried, I just couldn't get some folks to consider the "unbelievable" capabilites of the CTX 3030 recognizing multiple targets, and pulling coins out from around iron. Hopefully, your post puts the comments and criticizm of those few nay-sayers in the rear-view-mirror! Thanks for posting!!! HH Randy
