Better Picture of Oak Tree 2 Pence

New member
I had posted a picture of a 1662 Mass Oaks Tree 2 pence that I found while hunting with my buddies ,Bill Ladd and "gatehider" Rob. One picture was pretty blurry so here is a better shot that I took.

John,

As they say in RI....that is a "wickeet" find! I still am in shock!

We have to get out soon.....maybe we can head out to that new area Bill and I scouted out a few weeks ago. That place has some great potential! We will probably have to wait until all of the deer seasons are done though...

BTW...The RI Bottle show is coming up on Jan 15th. Do you think we will have any visitors coming down from NH wanting to kick a certain person's azz??? lol!!!!

HH,
GH

Hey Rob!
Oh my god I forgot about that. At least there will be plenty of bottles to break over his head! :)

You are a pissa! as they say, Yeah we are going to need a big body guard. That was bizarre last year. When I told Karen that we got escorted to the state line under the protection of the police, she said that she never knew that Bottle collecting could lead to bodily harm. The shotgun deer season finihes up either this weekend or next.

Dave I don't think anyone was as shocked as I was. There was no "relic dance", I just stood there with my jaw down to my knees. My first thought was that the guys were playing a trick, but no one was close enough to see me even dig it. You just never know what and where something good is going to be found. Just last week, Bill and I went back to the spot where Rob found that beautiful Seated Liberty Quarter and we didn't find anything(well nothing worth mentioning).
