best way to carry scoop while hunting

hi guys, I am new to water hunting and I am wondering how everyone carries their scoop while hunting in the water? I have a stealth scoop and also making a shifter out of a bread tray so it is all plastic. Thanks for any replies and HH.

most guys have the scoop an a leash so they dot lose it in the water ..i just drag it behind me just as i was on the sand

but when i hunt with the big loop scoop i have it on my shoulder

I either put mine over my shoulder or just carry it in my hand. Sometimes use it like a cane for balance. You can do a search of Va. Beach Max's scoop carrier. Looks good but I just prefer to carry mine. May have to swat a shark or something. Stealth makes a very good scoop. If I am in just sand I prefer my RTGs. HH :minelab:

I drag mine behind me and if I should carry it, because of seaweed, I keep the scoop to the rear so the detector does not signal on each sweep.
I do tether the scoop and sifter to my belt. I know of two scoops that have been lost at sea, never to be seen again.
I do not rely on the tether to pull the scoop. I always have a hand on my scoop and detector. I do not tether the detector as I use the arm strap.
I even put slots in my Infinium's arm cuff so I could use a strap.

On the sand I use a "tool Lasso". Clip fits on my belt. In the water I frequently use the scoop to steady myself if the surf is very rough. Otherwise I carry the scoop.

I use it in rough water to steady myself. Otherwise I drag it behind me. I don't tether anything to me, I use an arm strap on the detector, scoop not attached. Other people tether it no problems, it's personal preference. Wade slow and sweep slow and wide. Looking forward to seeing your gold pics :) good luck

Tool lasso here too for my Stealth + if I am in the water, I have a cheap lifevest attached via rope to the top of the scoop. Doubles as alive vest for me if I eve need it.

In deeper water i think you will find dragging it is eaisest just because most have some boyancy.... in the long shore drift about knee high i carry it. On land i carry it or drag it behind me if im gridding.

Yep, over the shoulder in current, or on the dry..walking stick to push me forward and balance in the flat...I like to see drag marks...lets me know how good the other guy before me was, and when he was there.
This one guy up here hunts at night, grids real well, not a scrap of foil left in his wake...I'm out at 4am, and hunt where he wasnt, so whoever you are thank you! :please:...
