What is the best able to handle these soils, hotrocks? I'm really leaning to the gmt. I heard the lobost is good, but its tracking and nonability to manuel gb is not close to the gmt. The gold b's seem to have to many mods to choose from, and dont know too much about em. The xterra isnt a dedicated machine, but I heard it can handle aussie ground well. Heard the same about the gmt in arizona minerals. What do you think? With the exception of the gold bug 2, I can get the rest for the same price new. Thanks for the input, and info, Hh

I would have to say from alot of reading, the MXT, Lobo ST, F75 & T2(now newer editions), Musketeer Advantage, and of course the Sovereign GT(but not good for gold smaller than about 1 gram or so). The new Garrett AT Pro is yet to be seen.

AND yes the GMT Nick. I heard the MXT handles bad ground a bit better but the GMT for smaller gold.
