Best Turf Plugging Tool?

Hi,

I'm going to be going after coins deeper than I've ever gone for this summer and need a way to punch deep, clean holes in turf. Who makes the best "Hole Hog" or similar type tool for getting down to depth? I need at least 12". Any help is appreciated.

I use this in the my local parks and it's a little pricey but worth every red cent

Golf course cup digger.....Light deep and easy to use...Ask around and you can get one like my friend did ...he got his for $25.00 of course it was used but the Plug fit right back in hole. A little water and you could not see where he digs..

http://www.targetbuddy.com/[/quote] Where is it that you live that they allow you to cut plugs in parks? We are prohibited from cutting plugs in any fashion in my area. If I got caught using one of those I would be visiting a judge. HH Dennis in Idaho

The park I hunt is huge and if you use the target-buddy correct you would never know if I dug a hole there. Now keep in mine I'm not in areas where the grass in like perfect condition like a golf greens would be.

I'm more in the areas of the park under large trees.

Last week I found a hot spot under a old oak tree and when I dug 9 plugs in that small area, when I left you would never know i was there !

I left with a hand full of clad and a man's gold wedding band

I'm not lugging one around but you could use it in our parks if you wanted to. Their noses aren't up in the air around here yet although I am sure it will come.

After lugging around my Long heavy stainless steal sand scoop all day at the beach, the small target buddy is a piece of cake.

This is a good one
I like this one, cuts trough roots perfectly easy to use and cheap.:clapping:

I use the model 88 Hercules and really like it. The blade is not quite as big. I also havethe standard Lesche digger. Great tools for the job, Beale.
