Best T2 setting for Finding Lost Gold Ring

ATLfun

New member
I have my first lost and found request to help with a gold ring that was lost two years ago. They have a relatively good idea of the general area. I know gold doesn't hit as hard as other metals, and I think I have read that it sometimes shows up as foil. Is that right? Any insight from the vets as to a good initial setting would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

No discrimination and no real high sensitivity lower it down as your not looking for anything really deep it's only probably down a few inches unless it's sand not soil. Maybe BP boost mode hits better, more sensitive, and id's better.

Try to use a ring of the approximate size/weight as one being looked for, to get a general T2 VDI number.

I surrender to the obvious. :surrender: The minute I read that, I was like DOH. I should have thought of that, but didn't.

you should start out eliminating iron no since listening to the iron in the ground but if you don't find it try again with lower disc. if there's a lot of iron in the ground in can a higher vdi signal that is shallow. set it at 40 to begin with. good luck
