I am going to be Moving to Wilmington North Carolina in the spring I do a lot of land Hunting but know Nothing about Beach Machine's. I am not a Diver and want one for the Surf and wet and dry sand. I would like to buy the best Detector I can for my Conditions it will be used a lot. so what are the better Detectors.

Can't speak for all who hunt the beaches of North & South Carolina but, You will see alot of mine lab Sov GT's. You will also see Excalibur's as well.
There are a good bunch of guys hunting those beaches.

I live about 50 miles inland from Wilmington. I usually hunt Carolina and Kure Beach with my Garrett Sea Hunter II. The only thing I don't like is that the threshold tone wavers somewhat in all metal but is dead on steady in the discreet discrimination mode. Very deep, and rugged. Have had no problems. I do have 8" and 12" coils but have never needed the 12" one. Welcome to the area.
