Best small multi coil for E-trac

Looking for a good smaller coil with good depth, i have the slimline 8'' but don't feel it has the target separation. Thanks

CoilTek's 6" TreasureSeeker.

best coil out there is the Coiltek 10x5

I'm interested in this topic too, but when you make a statement like "X is the best", could you please write a sentence or to as to why you think so? Opinions are great but I was hoping for reasons, too.

Thanks!

I took my excelerator eq2 pro coil to an old worked out park that has been hunted
since the beginning.... The EQ 2 Pro was able to find a 1916 barber dime in the
midst of all the iron. I was running two tone ferrous open screen with manual sens
at around 20-25..and had no problem with hearing the smooth tone among the iron...
it was 8-9" deep and I bet the Etrac and the EQ Pro combo could have detected it
even deeper...I have a 6x8 SEF but in really heavy iron (3-4 targets per Sq Ft.)
I still would use the EQ 2 pro, as I want all the separation possible.
I even though about a sunray X-5 to see if it's any better...It seems to me when it comes to worked
out parks filled with trash that little coils are KING!

Coiltek works with Minelab and actually used to make their coils before Minelab started making there own. so do you want something backwards engineered or something that was built working with ML

another nod for the 6" EQ2.....(slick bottom coil is also nice in the brush) I could care less who makes em as long as they work.....jmo

PS...have no experience with other small coils but VERY happy with the EQ2....

Just goggle the coils mentioned and you will find endless info on how well they have worked for each of the user ! Very simple, the X5 has a History of finding the good stuff ....with great depth and separation ....... just do some research, Good Luck in what ever your choice winds up to be !!

I do 95% of my hunting with small coils - used small coils for well over 2000 hrs. now.

I had a 6" EQ2 Coil for two years - till it shorted out - this little coil is nothing short of fantastic !
Decided to get a 4.5" x 7" Excellerator coil last year - I love this coil - it's "football" shape gets into the tight spots like no other coil - but I think the 6" EQ2 got a little more depth.
Got a 8" SunRay Stealth X-8 this season - (actually a medium sized coil) - it's the perfect in between sized coil - great in iron and in tight spots and it hits deep !

I've never used a Sunray X-5 - SEF 6x8 or any of the CoilTech coils - but I've heard nothing but the best about all of them.
You can read all of Bryce Brown's ( Moderator of the Findmall - Explorer Forum) reviews and field tests on these coils in the Explorer Forum.

Good Luck !
